Replaced shell, battery no longer works.

I replaced the shell of my right joy con and now it won’t turn off when not attached to the switch, no LEDs, nothing. I’ve checked the battery connecter and there’s no problem. Does anyone know where the problem could be?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I think you messed up your thingy that connects to the switch + has the lights. Is the ribbon in good?

Having this same issue. I’m guessing Tom’s answer is probably the cause, but I’d like to know how you proceeded before trying anything for myself if you’re still around.

Hey, I have the same problem. The ribbon was broken after I touched it with my finger. From the start, it was already kinked. Now the joy con has no function.

I'm having this same issue. The battery isn't the issue on mine. I pulled it out and popped it into a different joy-con and it worked just fine. Were you able to test yours somehow or did you figure out what went wrong with your rail?

Some connection is probably not connected, watch the battery replacement and double check all your connections. Joy-Con Battery Replacement
