How can I fix droids back ground lighting?

ddroid got dropped in a bucket of water 1 month later turned it on and it worked sound mic everything even touch responsive only thing that doesnt it seems is the light for the screen.. only can see it if holded to a light and angled right... doesnt make sense cuz bottom symbols light up brightly? anything i can do to replace or fix it i dont want to buy a new motorola too much $$$...

oh and yes i even turned brightness up all the way....(took a long time though)

Hey there. It sounds like you might have a broken backlight, a problem that could be fixed by first checking to make sure that all the cables are securely connected, and, if necessary, replacing the LCD. iFixit has a guide to help you out with this process. Take a look on ebay, amazon, or some other retail vendor to find a replacement part.
