Is something wrong with my display cable

I got my iPod 6th gen replacement screen and noticed it had something on the cable does anyone know what this is?

It looks like a mess up. It can also be residue from something. Try cleaning it of with a tooth brush if it doesn’t work then you should be able to return it. Even if it works I would still get a different one.

I tried using a toothbrush but it didn’t come off.

So its a mistake when thy made it let the place where you bought it from and thy should switch it in for another one I would highly not recommend you to use it.

Hold on a second. First, this does not look like anything more that just some residual adhesive. On some components, you can actually attach them to the device without putting everything together to test them. Where did you get this part from? It’s a little strange that it has residual adhesive on it especially if you have purchased the part from somewhere unless you bought if from somewhere that is selling parts they took off of broken devices.

I'm with you here, that looks like the same adhesive they use on iPhone Charging Ports. Strange to see it on a screen, so could just be worth contacting the supplier to see what their explanation is.
