turns over but will not fire

my car has gas in it does not stall or hesitate was running just fine until a couple days ago it died while idling started right back up but when i parked it when back out a while later it wont start turns over but wont fire

2002 grand prix.replaced fuel pump.it kicks in but wont start and backfires?any help?

If there is old gasoline in the tank it may have turned into water. Try adding some dry gas to the tank.

Options

Check for spark at plug wire, if no spark check ignition fuse if ok check coil pack if ok you may have a broken timing belt
