No Display off boot

Hello all,

I recently acquired this late 2016 MacBook Pro A1707 15” with Touch Bar that was liquid damaged.

The battery was all puffy so I replaced it with an ifixit brand battery but I can not get the computer to boot into recovery or show anything other than the backlight.

I tried to reset SMC and NVRAM but I’m not sure if I did either correctly.

I can’t find the board schematic for this machine either and I don’t know where to go.

PLEASE HELP :(

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Like I said I have a backlight, I'm not sure where the display connector is located on the logic board but that could very well be my problem

What's the fix for this problem? If I take the laptop back apart is their a chance that the cable can still be used?

At this point I think you’ll just need to bite the bullet and replace the logic board. Hopefully the rest of system is OK.
