Mac Pro Graphics Card(s) Issue

Hi,

Wonder if someone can point me in the right direction, I’ve got a Mac Pro 1,1 running 10.11. The Card Failed, and have since replaced it with a number of cards with Nvidia and ATI. It’s currently fitted with the ATI X1900. However it’s only seeing the card has having 1mb ram and only giving me a resolution of 800 x 600. I’ve tried a Nvidia card, which is showing 5mb RAM but the same resolution.

I’m suspecting the OS drivers is holding you back.

Now the hard part! You’ll need to upgrade the OS to something newer like Sierra (10.12.x). You’ll likely need to update your systems firmware but here’s when the other shoe drops! You’ll need to get the original video board put back in to get it to work!

You may also want to look at maxing out your box if you want to save it! Many Pro’s love the older grater systems but parts are starting to get harder to find.
