iPhone x No Service Back glass repair

I had the back Glass of my iphone x repaired. The service seems to be randomly dropping, and conenting, I am not sure what happened, but the technician told me the frame had cracked in two places while attempting to remove the back glass. Does the frame/ housing play a role with my phone getting service?? should i have him change the frame?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thanks so much for the reply @kingspc, is the attenna on the mother board, is it a changeable part? I read other articles on ifixit saying the frame should resolve the problem. Yeah he offered me a great price, and couldn’t refuse, i guess you pay for what you get. If i were the mother board it wouldn’t catch service at all right? i made sense when he said the from because i know on other models like the 6 the frame did play a factor with the service. idk im afraid to bring it to apple as they might tell that it has been fixed.

I've never changed the antenna before but it seems like there is a part that is separate from the frame. It might use the frame in some capacity but the iPhone X has antenna cutouts in the frame that seem to indicate that might not be the case.

My recommendation is to either get a second opinion or take it to the Apple store with your tail between your legs.

Good luck, friend.

No but if he was careless enough to break the frame of your phone during repair he was probably also careless enough to damage the antenna. I would take it somewhere for a second opinion.

I have the exact same problem on my iPhone X. I changes the back glass with the heating gun. I remove the hole internals for that, including all flexcables. Now my iPhone has also service drops. It is stable 5 minutes an then it says no service for 30sec. Then it reconnects. Is there any solution for this problem ?

I would recommend just changing the back of the housing. Changing just the glass without the proper equipment (a heat gun tends to ruin other parts. My recommendation send best answer, bite the bullet and get a new housing will certainly solve your problems.

Thank you for the fast answer. I notice some strange thing. The iPhone has only this Service Problem when it is connected to the GSM/ Edge Network. UMTS/3G and 4G ist still fine. The Problem is, i need the GSM Network for phone calls because 4G is very rarly in the country. Has the iPhone different antennas for this ? And does anyone have an idea where they are? If nothing helps, i need to buy an iCloud locked phone and swap the Boards.
