Cant find hard drive in Disk Utility

Macbook wont boot and hard drive cant be seen in disk utility. Please help

Hey Anthony. The solution could be a number of things. Have you tried entering MacOS recovery already?

Press and hold Command (⌘)-R during startup. Let me know if you're able to enter the recovery suite like this.

I was able to open the disk utility but could not find my hard drive/start up disk

In MacOS Recovery? Or Target Disk Mode? In other words, on the MBP you're having trouble with?

I don’t have an answer, but just last night I attempted to use a trial of CCC and I drag & dropped my HHD from finder to the source box and POOF,

now I have to hunt for it.

When you are in Disk Utility

on the top bar: click view,

select “show all devices”

? For years when I was in Disk Utility I never even knew that top bar was up there!!! So many hidden in my face gems…
