if this is the original from new battery then I would consider changing that. crashes and freezing screen, along with not holding a charge for long can be a sign of bad battery.

Could you please provide us with more details? My Iphone is currently turning off by it self but it resets after and the problem with mine is that cable #1 is loose which makes the LCD work. If you want to, try opening your iphone and making sure that #1 ribbon cable is properly inserted inside. good luck!
