iPhone Battery Still Not Lasting With New ifixit Battery Kit

My iphone hasn't been holding a good charge. Before installing a new battery I was getting about 12 hours of standby time. I purchased and installed the ifix it battery kit, and haven't come up with different results in the battery life department. Is there a way to calibrate iphone batteries? Is there something else I can do to make my battery go longer? I've done all of the obvious things that I can such as turning down the brightness on the screen, setting auto lock to one or two minutes, turning off bluetooth, with the same results. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help

interestingly someone else has this problem with an ifixit battery..contact them and see whether this is a problem with the batch..might also be a software problem with the latest update??

Do you have a Jailbroken device?

Which firmware?

do you use iPad BB - 06.15?

by

This unit is not jailbroken. I have the latest firmware available.

If it is not a JB device, I might offer you to restore to the latest FW - 4.3.3.

If it won't work, contact iFixit.

I would swap in the old battery first and see if it shows a similar behavior. If it acted normal (like before the battery change) then I blame the new battery. Ifixit had a bad batch that were sent out with a lot of frustrated customers. Just contact them and they will send out a new one.

Good idea. But a pain to remove those adhesive strips I took such care with!
