Broken Home button cable

Hi, recently i have been repairing the screen on my iPhone 7, and i am onto the second screen because the first one i snapped the touch id cable on the screen itself ( near where it connects to the phone ) and i recived my second screen today ( from the same supplier ) and have done the same thing again, in almost the same spot, it happens when the screen is fully assembled and being installed onto the phone and im trying to clip the screen back in, my question is, is it low quality screens Or is it just my fault that im snapping them? Im also having trouble getting the screen to sit in properly at the top? Can anyone help? Thanks

Can you upload a pic? You need to hold the screen at a 45 degree angle when clipping the cables back onto the motherboard. As far as the top is concerned, you have to angle is slightly and slid it up into the frame. The screen has 4 notches at the top that need slide into place. You cant just lay the screen down.

Here’s a guide.

That flex is really thin and easy to tear because of the 90 degree bend in it. Poor design IMHO but it is what it is. As Brian suggested, you have to keep the screen at an angle while removing/attaching it. Any stress on the flex and it will tear.
