How to repair broken battery chip?

Hi,

I have a question about repairing and ipod classic. I broke the chip pins that attaches the battery to the logic board. Is there anyway to reattach that chip back to the board? I don't think I could solder that small. Is there some sort of double sided tape that is made of some metal that could carry current though it? or would you guys be able to reattach it for me?

Cheers

Terry

Terry, you are not telling us what model ipod you have, but I assume it is either s 5th or 6th generation, because those are the most common ones with this type of damage. I can tell you from experience that you can not glue the connector back on. You can try and talk to your local TV repair person and s if thy can help you, or anyone else that is versed with SMD soldering. Personally, I do replace the logic board on mine due to high failure rate when I do it myself. Good Luck
