My phone’s display got kind of broken and I decided to fix it by myself, I bought a screen LCD display replacement from ebay.co.uk but now that I installed it the screen doesn’t works properly.

Here is my phone turned off:

Here is my phone’s screen, right after I turn it on which is static all over:

Later when it is booting, the screen gets divided to two part, top and down. Down part still static, top part gets divided to another two part which displays Samsung’s logo (with damaged color):

When phone completely boots up display is like this:

The digitizer and touch works fine and I have to touch the buttons on their original location even that picture is resized.

Here is a video for better understanding of the situation.

I checked the display connector with unarmed eye both on phone and display but I didn’t notice anything.

My cell phone connector:

I also installed back the original broken display and it works, so I don’t think that I damaged the phone connector or anything.

Any idea what is wrong and how can I fix it?

Hello Mostafa

From the photos, it seems that the connectors are fine. The problem is the screen. It must be defective or it may have some component of the flexo damaged in the manufacture or assembly, but I would see it with the naked eye. The only solution is to request a change and try a new screen.

When I have obtained this problem with Samsung, it has always been due to a defective screen.

Good luck!
