Home Button Functionality not working

Hi guys,

I’ve got an issue with the Home Button on iPhone 7 from a customer.

The Touch ID works fine, but not the functionality of the home button. So I changed to a new aftermarket screen. Then no Touch ID and no functionality.

Changed to a new OEM screen. Touch ID working again, but still the functionality of the home button is dead.

So I thought, I’ll change to a new home button (knowing full well, I’d lose the Touch ID). But worse, the home button still isn’t working!

The issue cannot be the home button, or the connector on the screen. Which leaves the logic board and /or components causing the trouble.

Is there anything I can do or replace to solve this?

Turtle IC is damaged (this is a small chip on the home button flex cable) or torn home button flex. Will need micro-soldering for either to be fixed.

Yeah you can’t use replacement home buttons on iPhone 7 and higher even if they came from another iPhone since apple has made them like that.
