Hi,

Not sure which IC the shopkeeper was referring to.

There are a few ICs on the motherboard, e.g. the WiFi IC , the audio amplifier IC, the power IC etc.

Try connecting the speaker to an audio source e.g mobile phone - plug into headphone jack, via an appropriate 3.5mm stereo audio cable - example only and check the quality of the audio from the speaker.

This will prove if the problem is with the BT section of the speaker or not.

How old is the speaker?

If you have had it since new, check the manufacturer's warranty for the speaker to see how long it is. If you haven't got the warranty information anymore, go online and search for JBL Charge 2 warranty for your location.

If your speaker is still within the manufacturer's warranty period, follow the directions as to what you have to do to make a claim for a manufacturer's warranty repair or replacement.

Depending on the system you are using with your JBL speaker via Bluetooth you may need updated drivers for your JBL speaker and/or the OS of the computer you are using.
