What is the best way to remove car window tinted film?

So got my car inspected and it didn’t pass because the windows are tinted. I didn’t tint the windows, I bought the car that way… now I have to untint them. I was told that the tinting was an aftermarket job done with tint film. Sure enough I see the film line.

so my question is what is the best way to get this stuff off?

The only way I know to remove tint film is by scraping and peeling it off.

yeah I got that much, but I wasn't sure if there was a solvent I should you that would help make the job a little easier.

Figured Goo Gone for clean up and it was suggested that I use soap and water to help with the peeling of the stuff off.
