How to repair Vodafone Smart Tab 4g?

So awhile ago I broke my Vodafone Smart Tab 4g and the damage that was done, caused the screen to break and possibly the touch screen, (I can’t check due to the fact the screen is completely cracked) So my question is would it be possible to repair it by myself if I got the right parts or is it the sort of job I would have to go to a repair shop to do?
