Why does my camera still freeze after change

Hi!

I'm quite new to phone reparations but still wanted to give this a try.

So my problem is that the front camera didn't show any image on the phone before I replaced it with a new one. However it still doesn't show any image.

The replacement was front camera, sensor etc.

So the question remains to what the problem is.

Once again I'm quite new and would love tips and what to try and check what's wrong. iPhone 6 is the phone.

Options

First, I would check if your other top components work, such as the earpiece speaker. If so, the flex cable is probably okay, but there could be some pins damaged either on the flex cable itself or the logic board connector. I would disconnect the flex cable from the board, maybe spray some canned air on it, then reseat it. Either you need a flex cable replacement (whole top components), or the logic board has a short / broken pin.
