CM Storm Keyboard Not Working, Brief Burst of power

I got a CM Storm Keyboard at a gaming convention nearly 2 years ago, and it has recently stopped working on me. At first I thought it was a frayed cable, so I took it apart, cut the cable and re-soldered the cable. Yet it still does not work.

Weirdly, the blue back light appears for about a second then goes off. I don’t know what has caused it to fail this way, but this is the final step before throwing in the towel and purchasing a new keyboard.

I have tested on multiple machines yet it still fails to work. If anyone has any input on things to try or things to consider that could be the problem etc. that would be greatly appreciated.
