91 Honda Accord radiator fan.

Have a 91 Honda Accord that the radiator fan come on when you first crank the car and it stays on continuous while car is running and after car is off. If anyone has any info on this it would be much appreciated.

check the temperature sensor which acts as a switch to turn the fan on at a certain temperature. It is possible that it has failed and stays closed. You did not tell us the exact model or engine size of your Honda so you will have to check for the location of the sensor. It is usually located by the thermostat housing. Follow the top host going to the engine block to find it. Once found you can simply check the sensor with a multimeter set on resistance.

The temperature sensor on car is new that is what leaves me puzzled. It’s a 91 Honda Accord with a 2.2 engine.

In that case the next suspect would be the fan relay

Hi @ mrsmith271983

There is a fan timer way up under the dash that goes bad often on these cars.
