Black Screen after LCD replacement

I followed the guides. I replaced the LCD screen, moved all parts and installed to new screen. Cables are not broken. The screen after turning on, is black. Not dim in bright light. Just black. I tried with iTunes, comes with error 4005. I put back the old original screen. The problem remains. Now is Xmas and all services are closed. Appreciate for ideas.

I took to the service today, I had managed to brake the ID Sensor cable. Now screen works, and with installed graphical home dot on the screen. I am talking to Apple, if they allow this home key unit to be replaced. It can be done, but cost maybe half of the phone cost. Evaluation continues. Will see. Thank you anyways for your good advise.

You should try seeing if any connections are loose and or broken. There could be a small piece in the connector broken when you replaced it.

It sounds like you’ve damaged the LCD chip when repairing the screen, the fact that you can’t see the display even in bright light such as a flashlight eradicates the backlight filter out of the problem. I’d say you’ve accidentally damaged the LCD chip on the logic board when replacing the screen.

Also, check all connections from the flex cable to the LCD are tight.

Unfortunately, you’d have to replace the logic board to replace the LCD Chip.

Hope I could solve your problem.
