Is this likely? I need a new logic board!

I have the same problem with my late 2013 MBP. I was told it is probably the video card... does that sound plausible?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

My Retina 15" from 2014 (but unit says Early 2013) has recently begun freezing and shutting down for no apparent reason. I also am meticulous with my equipment and always purchase Applecare just in case but I think this is beyond my warranty period. My previous macs have lasted easily 5-7 years albeit with a hard drive upgrade on occasion. Sad that quality seems to be suffering so significantly when that was their biggest selling point.

Unfortunatly yes, the logic board is going out, my macbook pro mid 2012 has a similar issue like yours where I will get random lines on the screen then it will attempt to reboot and give me the three beep error when it doesn’t.
