Why is LCD flashing after replacement?

After replacing the LCD and Digitizer on my iPhone 8 plus, the screen flickers a solid black color in certain areas across the screen and cannot hold a still image. The touch works just fine. Does this sound like a faulty screen, damaged logic board and or another issue?

Answer this question I have this problem too

I agree that it may be a bad screen. This happens from time to time. Be sure to check that all ribbon cables are seated in there connectors all the way. A ribbon cables might not be making contact with all the pins of the connector. Check that all the ribbon cables are where they should be as pressure in the wrong spot can cause problems. Finally, Apple uses many different size screws so if one was placed in the wrong spot then this can also lead to problems or possibly even break parts of the phone.
