How to run iPad without battery?

I bought an iPad with dead battery (it’s bulged). When I connect it to a charger, the only result is a boot loop (Apple logo, blink, Apple logo, blink…).

I want to use it as a kind of picture frame, which would necessitate constant charging anyway, so I’m reluctant to buy a replacement battery that will be of no use and dead again within few months because of constant charging.

Is there any way to forgo battery entirely? Some “fake” battery to allow it to boot?

iPad is designed to run with a battery, thus there’s no really easy solution for your need. Not sure if the system requires also a battery presence acknowledgement or it’s sufficient a component bridging, but unless you’re able to microsolder and have the necessary tools is not a very handy solution. If you have to find and pay someone doing the job you’d end up paying multiple batteries cost to get the job done. All in all I believe a battery replacement is the easiest and cheapest solution.
