How to replace the home button?

i have an Iphone 3G, my home button doesnt work, i want to repair it, i alredy have the flex and the new home button, thanks 4 helping me..

you'll need to follow the guide to remove the digitiser, then remove the home button. it's a fairly straightforward procedure. the flex goes through a hole in the plastic midframe of the display assembly, take your time here so that you don't damage or flatten the 2 metal contacts on the rear of the home button flex. the flex should have adhesive tape that you peel off to stick to the back of the home button and also to keep the back of the 2 gold prongs in place on the rear of the midframe. then you'll just need to replace the adhesive of the digitiser and then replace the digitiser. read the guide a few times to familiarise yourself with how it's done first.. take care removing the digitiser, you don't want to end up replacing that too! good luck iPhone 3G Front Panel Replacement
