I haven’t figured out how to open it up yet, but I have found the correct (left) hinge for my Q534UXK (run dxdiag for exact model #). Note the hinges are not symetrical so you need to know which one. In my case, the “left” hinge is the left when looking at the LCD panel with lid opened up. I found the hinge here: https://www.asus-accessories.com/left-hi...|l .


Could use feedback in how to separate the LCD panel from the back plate. It appears that the hinge is secured to the top back lid/plate and the LCD is a snap fit, but I don’t want to start poking and pulling hard on the panel without being certain. I had previously dropped it and bent the hinge which impaired operation and it eventually led to the hinge connection failing due to the extra stress on the joint.
