Kindle keyboard works fine, until I try and connect to kindle store

The battery is fine, nothing wrong with screen, its updated, I can read and search on it everything works fine except when I try to connect to kindle store! In March of 2016, they released software updates for older Kindles, and disabled internet functionality for anyone not on the new OS version. To update your Kindle to the latest version and get internet functionality back, go to https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/custom..., and follow the instructions.
