schematic square box w/ lightning bolt symbol

Sony model KDL-40SL150 no power, just red light.  the power supply board has a burnt spot where the schematic symbol - square box with lightning bolt in it appears. is this just a fusible link and can I close the link for a fix?

If there are burn marks on a power supply I typically just replace the entire power supply.

We need to see what the board looks like to determine if the board is repairable and what part may have failed and why. post some images of it with your question Adding images to an existing question

Sometimes it could be as simple as just replacing a capacitor whereas other times the whole board may need to be replaced. again, we need to see it to be certain.

Update (11/24/2018)

Looks like a solder bridge and it could be multilayered board. You can try and close it by solder a jumper across. Make sure that your fuse is ok. worst case scenario it does not close the circuit since you may not get to the second layer of the board and can’t close the circuit.
