Black screen, lens error message

I have a gently used Fujifilm x-a3, one day I was taking pictures when the screen suddenly went black and displayed a lens error message. when I turn it on, there is a slight rattling noise (sounds like the camera trying to auto focus) , but none of my efforts have worked to get past the error message. I have cleaned the lens contacts, tried several different lenses, tried to reset the camera by letting the battery out for long periods of time, turned the camera on with no lens at all. I connected it to my computer with the cable but was unable to hack into the camera that way. I am fairly certain it's a camera issue and not a lens problem or a problem with the connection to the lens. There are no camera repair shops near here so I'm very tempted to try to take the camera apart myself to have a look. However I have no idea how things inside should look so I won't be able to tell if something is broken.

Please, any suggestions would be most appreciated!
