There is a connector just under the light on the top of the head showing "Brush roll indicator". Remove the cover and make sure the white connector is pushed all the way into the piece. Dont pull the wires, just push on the connector. For help removing the cover, you can go to: Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Roller Brush Replacement Also note the wires by the hose that connects the upright of the vacuum. They can be kinked when the head is engaged to run. Check those wires and make sure they aren't being crimped.
