Possible causes:

* The battery is dead.

  • There is no voltage output from the charger for a number of reasons (e.g. cable, fuse, or electronic component failure).
  • Failure of connection inside your laptop, so charging voltage does not reach battery.

If you have a voltmeter check charger output. If there is no output check/repare or replace charger.
