Retrieving photos from broken phone

My Z5 Compact took a dive from the top of a ladder and has a broken screen. I’ve replaced the phone but I would like to get some photos off the broken one. It will boot up but the touch sensitivity is broken so I can’t unlock it to access it via Sony Companion. Is there any way I can get my photos back other than repairing the screen?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If you can boot up the phone and still can see the screen even though its broken try to get a micro-usb to usb female cable and plug a mouse to it, ive done that and i could use the phone with the mouse and send pictures through some program that let you transfer pictures and data via wireless
