My Samsung touch screen stopped working and the only way I can get it working again is to hold down the bottom left touch button and with my other hand use the touch screen ,is this a fault with my tablet or is it something I’ve done on the settings it’s like a lock but I didn’t change anything ,can someone help me I’ve only had this 2days?

Hi @joegeraldine ,

Do you have to press the button or does it also do this if you exert pressure on the tablet in the same area?

If so I suspect that there may be a loose connection to the digitizer (touchscreen) in the tablet.

Since you’ve only had it for 2 days (is it “new” or just new to you?), contact the retailer or follow the instructions in the manufacturer’s warranty statement (normally found in the documentation that came with the tablet) about what to do to make a claim for a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement

I agree it's most likely a defective touch screen.

The digitizer cable can't really get loose though as it uses holes on the connector to hook in, a zif connector and some tape to hold the connection down tight.
