Unlock and retrieve water damaged iPhone 5c

I have tried various ‘free’ data retrieve software that keep leading me to a very high buy now price. Dr fone has been the only promise for unlocking and retrieving but Id like to find a cheaper version. Purely because if this doesn’t work then I just spent £70 on software for nothing.

I need to unlock the iphone but the screen is not working at all it only shows a half the screen pixilated.

# Is there a way to connect the iphone and use my mac keyboard?

IMO, if the screen is locked, then no software solution will help you. In that case, you really need to have the phone repaired. It doesn’t have to be fully repaired, just enough to get the phone unlocked and the data out.

In this case, it may just be the screen which would be less expensive than Dr. Fone anyways. If the issue is at a deeper level, then it may require a micro-soldering repair.
