left side of screen isn't working and I have blue lines

I dropped my phone, It was already cracked pretty badly before I dropped it, now the left side of my phone doesn’t work. the right side works but when I try to open an app it opens a different app, same with texting. There’s also blue lines on my phone. sometimes my screen goes black with just the blue lines showing

Sounds like you have a broken LCD with a semi functioning digitizer as well.

I highly suggest finding a repair shop in your area that would be able to replace the screen on your 5s. Alternatively, if you feel up to the task, you can replace the screen yourself as well!

the guide here on ifixit is a well written one, and provides quite a bit of information. You should be able to find a replacement screen online here or at another distributor.

On a very serious note, if you do the repair yourself, make sure you have a static free environment! Be it a static mat or an anti-static bracelet, or both even!

Sounds like your LCD went kaput. You will be looking at getting a new screen assembly.
