iPhone shuts down/ glitches after replacing home button

I replaced my iphone 6s home button, it turns out that after replacing it, the phone wouldn’t turn on.

I unassambled the device and reralized that the phone turned on as soon as I disconected the smaller flex cable (highlighted in the image), and shutted down as soon as I connected it back

I’m not sure what this is, if anyone could help me out I’d be really thankful.

Are any of the pins bent on this connector?

I just took a look at it, and it doesn't really look damaged, I took a couple of pics which I'll upload, so maybe you can tell me if there's anything actually broken

Sounds like a faulty home key that is shorting out.

Or you could have damaged the home key flex on the screen which is the cable that you have highlighted.

What's weird to me is the fact that it works normally as long as is not having contact with the home key flex, and it shuts down immediately when I connect it, also the new home button doesn't work either (I'm guessing is because of the flex cable problem).

also, the cable doesn't look damaged.

I'll go ahead and try to put back the old home button to see if anything changes
