Cellular, "Searching" all the time. GPS, WIFI and Bluetooth OK

Hello!

I have an iphone 6 ive been trying to fix ever since i smashed it between a car-door(twice…). And ive got everything back in working order, the phone is a little bit bent at the middle just over the SIM-slot, but the SIM is recognised.

Only problem I have left is that i can not connect with cellular, it only says “Searching” all the time… Has anyone encountered this issue before?

sounds like you damaged the reception antenna, have you tried your sim card in a different phone just in case?

Try dialling *#06# with your numeric pad. You should get your phone’s IMEI number in return..if that doesn’t show it’s a Baseband IC problem, it can happen, especially if phone housing got bent.

I tried dialling those numbers now, unfortunately nothing was returned. What could that indicate? :)

As I said earlier, that points to a Baseband issue technically speaking ;) In other words that means you'd need to find a skillfull technician into microsoldering who we'll be able to desolder that chip from the iPhone's logic board, fix the the issue, resolder the Chip back and reassemble your phone..unfortunately it's not an average DIY project.

The SIM works in another phone yes! Which antenna would that be? Top left/mid?

Thank you!
