Clutch slip on Kenwood 701

My Kenwood chef will not engage the motor unless I press down on the top plate. The teeth on the drive clutch will not engage. I cannnot see how to remove the cone topped drive from the gearbox. I am in Stranraer and there does not appear to be any Kenwood repairs in Scotland so any advice is welcome.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

Here’s a link to the service manual for your mixer.

Here’s a link that may also be of some help.

Hopefully they both are of some use to you.
