How do you replace the large gear?

My Protocol Dronium Two has some stripped teeth on one of the large gears that mesh with the small motor gear. I have got a replacement gear (and shaft). Does the gear pull off the shaft? and how hard?? Seems very tight. Does the shaft need to be replaced also, it does not seem to be damaged. Not sure how hard to pull on the gear?

After the propeller is removed, I pulled/pryed on the propeller hub very hard but carefully to pull it off the shaft!!!

Then the shaft and gear slipped out of the housing very easily. There is also a metal shaft bushing that slid out as well.

One of the parts I purchased had a gear and shaft attached so I used that. I also replaced the small gear on the motor shaft as that had some wear on it as well. That pulled off hard (but much easier that the propeller shaft) .

The motor shaft was smooth, were as the prop-shaft was knurled on the ends, thus making for a much tighter fit.
