Any ideas on how to remove small silica gel balls from headphone jack

So everyone recently got new chromebooks and protective pouches, but the pouches had silica gel packs which many didnt remove, so many are breaking open, and then the little beads inside are getting stuck in peoples headphone port.

I know iFixit sells the extractor tool, but I dont know if it would work in this case as its not a headphone jack, but a small round bead.

If anyone has any ideas on what to try, or if the tool would work, that would be great.

Also, one was taken apart, but there is no easy way to remove it from the inside.

Thanks!

This isn’t the greatest solution but you could take a very small drill bit and drill into the silica bead until it breaks into more manageable pieces that you can remove with tweezers. Drill very slowly and cautiously as we do not want to break the headphone jack with excessive force! I did this with a small pebble that got stuck inside my iPad’s headphone jack and it went according to plans.

Update (10/11/2018)

You could try just using these tweezers to grab the silica pellets, they are very thin and might be able to slip under the pellet and pull it out.

Thanks. I thought about doing that or using a pin to stab it. But I was looking more for a more easy and repeatable method as it's happened a few times already and I want other people to be able to do it. But that's something for me to keep in mind

@cam2363 Yeah, it is kind of a last resort type of solution but it has worked for me. Unfortunate!

Ill give the tweezers a shot too. I have a few extra pairs, so if they work all the better.

You turn to the bottom of the crome then you undscrew it. Then when you grab a needle (like a sewing one). Once you have the needle you put it in the headphone jack then you wigle it around. You have to unscrew the bottom or else it will break you crome.
