usb chargning port, stuck in headset mode, not turning on

Hi,

I have an issue ,that ip7 was not chargning anymore normally with fake usb wires. Once I was in bath and cheking some videos, after the bath phone got stuck in headset mode. After a while it stoped charging anymore with any wire ( even original).

So I replaced the usb charging port, after 2 days it got stuck in the headset mode on again and nothing I was able to do but still it was chargning with all wires.

After another day, when phone was compleatly discharged, I couldnt get it on anymore it does not charge anymore.

what could be the issue ? I believe it’s not the usb port, but what could be the cause ?

Options

If you have already replaced the charge port, the only other thing that gets involved with communicating with charger is the Tristar IC (part of the charge circuit). You may have a logic board issue and if your taking your phone with you in the bath, I have to wonder if you didn’t drop in the water at some point as well.

The iPhone 7 is IP67 rated but some phones are more IP67 than others ;>).

Ok thanks for the info. No it was not dropped into water, it was charging and maybe the steam somehow got into it while being charged.

Tristar IC can be fixed or the logic board needs to be changed ? I believe a logic board changw costs 100-400 eur right ?
