@taulton the first thing you want to try is to use different input sources. Try coax, composite and any others. If it still does not work then you will have to check a few things. For that you will have to have some basic hand tools and a meter. Remove the back of your TV and take a good look at the boards. Check for obvious damage, like domed or leaking capacitors.
