Where are my power pads on this specific model?

I have looked over many models of MacBook pros on many websites and still cannot locate one that is remotely close to mine and that can point out the location of my power pad.

I am attempting to power on my MacBook without the power button as the button has stopped working after I spilled some water on the key board. I’ve let it dry for 4 days and there appears to be no water damage but it just won’t turn on.

I would so much appreciate it if someone can help me locate the power pads on my MacBook Pro and also if you have tips on how to power it up, that’d be great. Thanks so much!

Here are the pictures of what it looks like:

Vivian Seto  “I’ve let it dry for 4 days and there appears to be no water damage but it just won’t turn on. “ your board does look a bit grungy and so does the fan. I suggest you remove the logic board etc. and start cleaning it with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Anyhow, to answer your question, this shows where the pads are located.

Thank you so much! I agree it was gross and was surprised upon opening as this was my first time opening it since purchase in 2012.

It should turn on if I connect the two briefly with a paper clip, right?

Thanks again and sorry for all the follow up questions :)

I would recommend you first do a dry dusting using a soft paint brush and a can of can'ed air blowing in short blasts go get as mush of the loose stuff off before dipping it into the isopropyl alcohol. You may find thats all it will need.
