No sound pressing lower right corner

I have a weird problem with my iphone4.

When I put the phone into a craddle it loses the sound over the speakers. Sound over the headphone is okay.

Pressing the iphone between thumb and finger brings back the sound.

Any help is welcome.

Thank you for your advice oldturkey03 but I don't think I have a problem with that part.

The sound from the speaker, not thru the headphone, stops when squeezing the lower right corner of the iphone4 or when you put the iphone into a a craddle. In that case it looks like that when there some pressure on the connector or the bottom of the case of the iphone, this causes the speaker to stop working.
