Model A1224 / Mid 2007 and Early 2008 / 2, 2.4, or 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor

correct bracket for SSD upgrade

I attempted to install SSD in my 2007 iMac. I purchased an inexpensive bracket from an online auction site. I found out the side screw holes are too small — the four screws from the iMac mounting bracket won’t fit.

Can someone recommend the correct brand and model that would work for 2007 iMac?

Thanks for the suggestion. A physical visit to the store located a bracket with the correct size screw holes. I discovered another necessary item for installing SSD into a 2007 iMac is SATA extension cables (data + power). The existing cable is positioned for the original 3.5” HD with zero slack; needed to extend the cable by about 2 inches to reach the new 2.5” disk.

You'll need to reverse the frame to get the length.

Don't forget putting the thermal sensor back on.
