Why doesn't my new battery charge?

About 1.5 months ago I spilled coffee on my laptop. It happens to the best of us. The battery stopped charging, or holding a charge, but the computer worked when connected to the charger, just like a desktop computer. I changed out the battery thinking that was the problem, but now the new battery won’t charge either. I’ve inspected and tried two power cords and different outlets, but still no little green light. Only orange. Any thoughts or experience on what might be the actual issue?

Your coffee spill damaged the logic board as well. You’ll need to bring your system into someone who can diagnose the charging logic or you’ll need to just swap out the logic board MacBook Air 11" Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement
