Options

This is usually due to a worn / damaged USB port. They would need to be replaced via soldering at a reputable repair shop.

Personally I don’t think it’s worth it for a fairly old laptop.

Power is showing in tester.

If that is the case I would check on the main board for any liquid damage or loose solder joints for the pins behind the USB ports on the board.
