Why is my home button not working after a screen replacement?

After I put the new Screen on the iPad 4 Mini, the home button gave no reaction whatsoever! I’ve disassembled it multiple times, so far everything was unsuccessful! The Placement of the home button seems to be correct! How Important are the Stickers? Is it Hardware? (I also have a similar problem with an iPad Pro 12.9”)

What stickers are you referring to?

It’s important to properly align the bracket so that the actuator on the Home Button Flex is pushing against the center. Then you have to properly secure the bracket with strong double-sided adhesive so that it doesn’t “give in” when pushing the button. You’ll note that Apple lays some epoxy around the edges of the bracket to hold it in even tighter.
