What is this for?

I have a notebook from some Chinese company, and it has this little panel at the bottom with a screw…. So I removed it and found a place where you can place something in there… I'm thinking more storage or something… but I don't know!!?

I’m not 100% sure since nobody knows what laptop you have, but it looks like a M.2 SSD slot. Looks like a 2230 sized slot from the pictures.

Many of those laptops come with 32GB of eMMC but provide an SSD slot to fix the problem. The laptops don’t ship with the drive installed but they provide provisions and BIOS support.
