Cannot get correct battery for 15" MacBook Pro

I ordered a battery for the 15” Macbook Pro (~2011). It was longer than the one in the video on ifixit. It is too late to return it, but I would still like to get the correct one and I’m stuck.

The pictures of the 13” model battery replacement come closest to the ones in the video. There is a hard drive next to the battery in our model and the battery is shorter than the one I got.

IFIXIT will exchange it out!

Sounds like you ordered the wrong battery. Lets see if we can identify which of the many systems Apple has so you can order the correct battery.

Plug in your systems serial number here: EveryMac - Lookup. Once you know let us know ;-}
